The fact in the present state of the world is that only 1% of the world’s energy production is produced by solar power. A huge chunk of the world’s energy requirements are produced by power generators that use fossil fuel. These generators emit billions of tons of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide which contributes to the rapid degradation of the environment. This sad condition of the world inspired Pythagoras Solar to create a better future today.
Of all the potential sources of renewable energy, only solar presents an enormous promise of sustainable clean and renewable energy resource. Solar power has the potential to produce as much as 120,000 terawatts of electricity. Despite this potential, solar power remains the least tapped energy source. Although the an enormous supply of solar panels have been delivered to supply power to the central grids, the point that makes the real difference remains ignored – the communities where our homes are located.
Building structures are the largest energy consumers in the world, yet it is the least efficient. Pythagoras Solar has seen the gap and leverage on the abundance of solar power to design and develop energy efficient and self-powered Green Buildings. These Green Buildings can enhance real estate value, significantly reduce energy consumption and meet the requirements of environmental regulations.
Pythagoras Solar was conceptualized through Precede Technologies, an Israel-based incubator. The rising demand for solar energy led physicist Dr. Itay Baruchi and software specialist Gonen Fink to business viability of Green Buildings and the decreasing cost of installing photovoltaic solar power. For the layman, Pythagoras Solar’s products may be called solar window. It is a combination of power generation, energy efficiency and transparency in standard form as the solar window can easily be integrated into the design and construction of conventional buildings.
