Inkling is taking its years of experience working with textbooks companies to bring huge chemistry books to tablets in a digest form. Inkling has also been successful in integrating quizzes and review materials in less than a hundred pages.
In February 2013, Inkling furthered its influence when it launched a software that allows giant publishers like Pearson and Elsevier to create their own masterpieces. Inkling CEO Matt Macinnis reported that the software generated revenues for the company in “eight figures.”
Inkling is extra useful in three e-books uses. First is called “Master Your DSLR Camera” which teaches shutterbugs to set their cameras by just dragging a scroll bar under an image to see how its quality transform. Second is “Modernist Cuisine at Home,” a recipe calculator which recalculates the amount of ingredients needed and updates the shopping list when the quantity of food to cook changes. Third is the “Gray’s Anatomy Review,” which provides medical students with interactive quizzes at the end of each chapter to help them track their progress.
