Inetsat is used to distribute linear TV channels against the more expensive satellite feeds. Not only is Inetsat effective in localizing TV propgrams, it is also used advertisement insertion for different regions by combining Inetsat and single satellite feeds.
Using Inetsat, only the newest content is distributed over the internet to the video servers located in the operators. The video servers are capable of storing up to 1,000 hours of content. It can minimize the re-distribution of contents broadcasted previously.
The network headquarters control the linear channels generated by the video servers to the cable operators as traditionally done in receiver-decoder systems. Inetsat is more preferred for programming networks that lack live contents although it can also be combine with satellite-based programs in case of sporadic distribution of live contents through the network.
