The first board certified female physician to perform complex spine surgeries in the HMS system, Dr. Tuli served on several committees at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, including Neurosurgery Quality Assurance, OR Quality, and the Professionalism Program Committees. She also sat on the Biomedical Research Institute Committee to review grants and acted as the Quality Assurance Officer of the Department of Neurology. Sought after for speaking engagements, the well-known spine and neurosurgeon has moderated for or spoken before the World Federation of Neurological Societies. Additionally, she delivered the keynote speech on “Cervical Fracture Classification Systems and Their Role in Determining Treatment” at the International Spinal Cord Society Annual Scientific Meeting in India.
Trained in neurosurgery, spine, and epidemiology at the University of Toronto, Harvard School of Public Health, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Sagun Tuli manages spine dysraphic conditions in adults and other complex spine cases. Her patients may suffer from traumatic, infectious, neoplastic, or degenerative conditions. A shining example of the Harvard Medical School system of teaching physicians, she also engages in clinical research.
